Money for Life

How to help your employees avoid going broke in retirement

What can Mr. Spock, Homer Simpson, Clark Gable, a Ziegfeld Follies girl, and a marshmallow teach us about planning a secure retirement?  Plenty!  This keynote address will inform and entertain you about one of the most critical issues in the retirement industry today – how to use retirement savings to generate a reliable, lifetime retirement income.  CBS columnist, author, workshop presenter, and consulting actuary Steve Vernon shares effective, realistic strategies for these critical issues. He’ll summarize the main points from his latest book, Money for Life: Turn Your IRA and 401(k) Into a Lifetime Retirement Paycheck, and cover the critical topic of how retirement professionals frame the decisions that individuals must make and how to focus their attention on the most significant issues.  Using an effective mix of humor, stories, video clips, photos, cartoons, music, and solid actuarial analysis, Steve offers insights that will surprise and inspire you.

Luncheon Keynote Speaker

Maureen Manley, MA

Thriving in the Midst of Life's Challenge's

Determination and resilience have served Maureen in her many accomplishments.  As a member of the US Cycling Team she won a National Championship, set a national record, earned a silver and 2 bronze medals at the National Championships, competed in three World Championships and won a silver medal in the 1990 World Championships.  Maureen's cycling career came to an abrupt halt at the sudden onset of Multiple Sclerosis.  She turned her determination and focus to a new journey, exploring ways to integrate her Mind, Body and Spirit in order to create optimal health and peace of mind.  By combining both research and personal insights Maureen shows you how to create possibilities instead of seeing limitations.  You'll be delighted to learn positive, productive and creative practices that have universal appeal that you can put to work in your own life immediately
