Five Tips to Survive the Overwired World

232 emails per day. Facebook updates, LinkedIn invitations, cell phone messages. With all of the incoming banter, check-ins and chimes, how can anyone maintain an ounce of focus? Does the overwired world make you feel undone and overworked? Unplugging may lead to a few moments of reprieve, yet is, at best, just a temporary solution. How can you work with the distractions of today’s business environment rather than in spite of them? Our speaker enjoys the minute-by-minute updates of Twitter; regularly updates her professional networks on LinkedIn; and is working to grow her Klout score. But she knows that these tools serve a purpose, and are not the purpose. You will walk away a few tidbits for survival, sanity… and even success, online and off.
 
Our Speaker
       
Sheri Fitts is a speaker, consultant, strategic thinker and participant advocate who works with retirement plan advisors to help them leverage marketing, social media and personal connections to compete for and win business. Her retirement plan chops were earned over 20 years in the financial services marketplace – beginning as an award-winning graphic designer, moving into participant curriculum design, then onto sales and marketing. Today, in her role at LPL Financial, she leads the planning, development and execution of marketing communications programs for advisers whose focus is the retirement plan marketplace.
 
Sheri is known for her strategic thinking in the retirement plan space, her willingness to take risks and be different, her beautiful dog and her great Twitter handle: @missfitts.
